Dr. Nihal, a Periodontist (Gum Specialist) completed his graduation from University of Pune. As a result of his excellent academic achievements, he was inducted for the masters program in the field of Periodontics from University of Pune. Later, He also got selected through the All India Examination for the course of implantology. He has completed his Post Graduate Course of Implantology from SDM College, Dharwad.
Apart from general dentistry, he has a specialty practice of different gum surgeries and Implant Dentistry. He performs various gums surgeries like gum lift for recessed gums, depigmentation of dark colored gums, flap surgery for gum pyorrhea or swollen gums. His implant practice routinely has patients for not only standard implant procedures but also for advanced procedures like connective tissue grafts, ridge augmentation, immediate implants, sinus lift surgeries, All on 4/All on 6 implants, full mouth implants.
Dr. Nihal is actively involved in teaching Periodontics & Implant Dentistry to other dentists and specialists. He routinely conducts workshops on gum surgeries and dental implants for young dental graduates. He has several national and international publications. He has delivered guest lectures at various state and national level programs. His current position as the Professor and In-Charge in the Dept. of Periodontology at Sinhgad Dental College, Pune, allows him to share his expertise. He has mentored many undergraduate and postgraduate students during his stint as postgraduate guide.
He is a member of Indian Society of Periodontology & Indian Academy of Osseointegration.
